Welcome to our newly updated website. More pictures will be coming in the near future.
Is there a lot of walking all day to attend this feast? I have trouble walking long distances.
Also, will there be food available, and is this free or is there a cost associated with the price we are paying for the group attendance? Thank you.
There is not a lot of walking. All depends on what you want to do. Some people sit by the outdoor altar most of the day. Most everything can be heard from there.
There is also food available.
What hours is the Shrine open for a “day trip” my mom (88) and I would like to make, probably a weekday? Is there a café or picnic area that we can bring our lunch and eat there? Is there a gift shop? Hours for all.
Blessings from Milford, CT
Dawn to dusk. Picnic tables available. No cafe. Call ahead to arrange a tour.
You can ring the bell and someone will open.
no set hrs.?
Do you have a chapel open during the day? Also, is there ever Eucharistic Adoration?
The church is open during the day. You can also visit the chapel in the convent behind the church. There is Adoration on Tuesdays from 9 am to 7 pm in the chapel.
Is the Gift Shop open on Saturdays and Sundays? If so, what times?
Ring the doorbell and someone from the convent will open if it’s not open.
Am I able to go into the Church at any time during the day? I have sat in the parking lot many times wanting to go in but hesitated because I am not a member.
Any time the church is open, you are welcome to visit.
